AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) has launched its flagship Future Finance 2022 Online conference, giving finance professionals the skills to get ahead of the pack and become the accountant of tomorrow.

For the third year in a row, Future Finance will take place fully online, following the success of the 2020 and 2021 events which were both held entirely virtually. This approach enables even more AAT members from across the UK and around the world to access conference sessions at a time that suits them. AAT moved the event online in 2020 due to the pandemic with great success, attracting 2,500 attendees – 10 times the usual number – and later being shortlisted for ‘Best Online Conference’ at the Associations UK Awards 2020.

This year the free conference runs from 5-7 July and consists of nine inspiring sessions, presentations from industry experts and digital showcases from leading software solution providers. The sessions will cover a wide range of topics such as sustainability, supporting mental wellbeing, anti-money laundering, professional ethics and successful leadership. Speakers include AAT President Heather Hill and Chief Executive Sarah Beale, as well as the Co-founder of Mazuma Accountants Lucy Cohen, Excel Ace Managing Director Traci Williams and leadership coach Ian Smith.

Once registered, attendees will be able to access the easy-to-use online event platform, allowing them to tune into as many sessions as they want, either live or via on-demand recordings. This means they will be able to build their own programme which is tailored to their needs.

Rob Alder, Head of Business Development, AAT, said:

“After a turbulent few years, now more than ever it’s clear that finance professionals are critical in helping businesses of all sizes to succeed. Our Future Finance events give them the opportunity to gain the skills to do just that – not only equipping them to take on the challenges of today, but also harnessing the opportunities of tomorrow.

We know that our members find taking part in Future Finance is a great way to stay informed and up to date, and moving to a fully online event means even more people can now get involved. This year’s event promises to be even better, with a great variety of sessions hosted by a wealth of industry leaders. As well as providing support on core technical understanding, the event allows attendees to build additional knowledge in areas like equality, diversity and inclusion, mental wellbeing and sustainable business. I would encourage people to take advantage of the expert insight and guidance on offer and register as soon as possible.

AAT Future Finance 2022 Online is sponsored by headline sponsor Xero, AccountancyManager and Avalara.
