AAT Annual Report and accounts

Responsive, agile, decisive

Responsive, agile, decisive

The Annual Report and accounts for the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) provides an overview of our performance from 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022.

I was delighted to take up the role of AAT President, despite it being in the middle of a challenging year for everyone. AAT weathered the storms of the pandemic, in particular, incredibly well. We took the opportunity to review our working practices and, using technology to best effect, adopted hybrid working arrangements and more online services for members and students.
Heather Hill, AAT President 2021–2022

What the report contains

Within the strategic report you'll find our highlights over the 12 months, including the impact we're having on people's lives and careers, on businesses, and on economies and society as a whole. It also contains our Section 172 Statement as well as information on our energy use and carbon emissions.

The key performance indicators demonstrate what we've achieved against the objectives set out in our business plan. We show comparative figures, as well as those for the 12 months that the Annual Report covers. We also look at our strategic risks and how we operate as a responsible business in the wider environment.

The governance section covers the AAT Group's governance and management. It also contains the Trustees' responsibilities statement.

The full accounts are available towards the end of the report. The statement of financial activities for the Group, balance sheets and statements of cash flow are included alongside the auditor's report. Here you'll also find a list of our Council members, honours and awards.
