Executive summary
We agree in principle that mandatory qualifications have a place within apprenticeships, where they can bring value to the apprenticeship and learner. However, we would refrain from giving these proposals our full support as there is not sufficient detail provided on how the labour market requirement is determined and signed off, nor on how the evidence from professional and membership bodies is to be evaluated.
