Apprenticeship fees and funding for training providers

Apprenticeship funding

Training providers in England no longer receive direct allocations for apprenticeship programmes. Instead, employers decide who they want to partner with for apprenticeship delivery and make payments accordingly into an online apprenticeship service. Training providers are then issued their allocated payments monthly.

The amount an employer pays into the funding pot depends on their annual paybill. This contribution is referred to as the apprenticeship levy.

End Point Assessment (EPA) fees

When training providers register a student onto an End Point Assessment (EPA) with us a non-refundable administrative fee per apprentice will become payable by the EPA Centre on registration, followed by the balance of the remaining EPA fee when apprentices take the first EPA component. The balance of the remaining EPA fee will cover one attempt at each EPA component.

If a resit is required, these will be charged individually.

Fees for the EPAs vary depending on the apprenticeship level as outlined here.
