Main purposes of job
- To engage and motivate learning with cohorts of learners who go on to achieve excellent first-time pass rates in AAT at Level 2, 3 and 4 via excellent training and effective communication with colleagues.
- To contribute to the development and ongoing management/improvement of learning resources and materials.
Key tasks
- Plan, organise and deliver online and classroom training sessions
- Monitor and report on work done by Academy Live learners on Rogo and deliver short online sessions to underpin and test that learning.
- Ensure that learning is presented in the most engaging way, encouraging opinion, ideas and discussion.
- Utilise appropriate teaching techniques to assess learning and aid long term memory retention.
- Help learners to identify how learning fits with their own roles/organisations.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of learning materials and online resources.
- Create an inclusive learning environment and individualise for learners wherever possible.
- Record detail of learner performance and pass all relevant is passed to coaches.
- Assist learners who fail exams to plan activities to support future success
- Contribute to team meetings and standardisations to share best practice and new techniques/ideas.

- Learner feedback from workshops and regular questionnaires.
- First time exam pass rates.

- Quality of online learning resources – feedback from learners.
- Employer and coach feedback on learner’s knowledge and skills in the workplace.

We have an exciting new opportunity to work with Reed Business School in Liverpool. In early 2026 we will be opening a new classroom-based tuition centre in the heart of the city, delivering accountancy qualifications and apprenticeships ranging from Level 2 up to Level 4.
Overview
In this role, you will be expected to offer an exceptional classroom experience for learners pursuing professional accountancy qualifications. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality tuition and support, motivating students to excel, and ensuring they achieve outstanding learning and assessment results. This role is initially for an associate tutor for up to 3 days per week, with a view to potential full-time associate/co-member role for the right applicant.
Key Responsibilities
● To work from the Business School in Liverpool for up to 3 days per week initially.
● Deliver professional accountancy qualifications to learners and apprentices through classroom-based and online classroom delivery methods.
● Ensure that qualifications are delivered according to RBS teaching standards and learning materials.
● Additionally, create new supplementary materials to enhance the learning experience for students.
● Cooperate with the team to resolve teaching gaps and provide absence cover.
● Ensure technical competencies remain up to date and maintain CPD requirements.
● Collaborate with the administrative team to promptly and efficiently address queries from accountancy students and clients.
● Coordinate with Reed Business School colleagues to gather information on student performance and progress, aiding in relationship management and development.
Essential Skills and Experience
● Minimum Level 4 qualified with a professional accountancy awarding body, with excellent all round subject knowledge.
● Ability to combine academic rigour with excellent learner achievement.
● Suitable accountancy teaching experience including online delivery.
● Strong written and verbal communication skills, suitable for both teaching and professional settings.
● Excellent skills in organisation, time management, and problem-solving.
● Proactive, solution-oriented approach to tasks and challenges.
● Ability to create and develop contemporary course materials where required.
● Commitment to learner-centred development.
Desirable Skills and Experience
● Practical experience within the finance and accountancy sector.
● Familiarity with accountancy apprenticeship frameworks.
