AAT licensed members are self-employed accountants and bookkeepers.

✔ There are over 4,000 AAT licensed members across the UK
✔ They are widely recognised in the accountancy profession
✔ They can prepare accounts for limited companies that are defined as small by the Companies Act 1985
✔ Banks and building societies recognise AAT Licensed Accountants for preparing accounts for mortgage loan purposes.

They are licenced and regulated by AAT, which means they have to adhere to strict ethical and practice standards and be compliant with legal requirements. AAT also supervises many of our licensed members for compliance with Anti Money Laundering legislation.
