What is the National Skills Fund?
The National Skills Fund aims to help adults train and gain the valuable skills they need to improve their job prospects and support the economy.
The government is investing £2.5 billion in it to support the immediate economic recovery and future skills needs by boosting the supply of skills that employers require. The fund will give adults access to Level 3 qualifications. Hundreds of courses have been carefully selected to support adults to gain skills leading to jobs in various sectors.
Are you eligible for the funding?
You must be aged 19 years or over.
You must live in England.
You must not hold, or have previously held, a full Level 3 qualification in any subject area.
Your training provider must have access to the National Skills Fund through their prime Education and Skills Funding Agency contract, or subcontract or be contracted through a devolved combined authority region.
This offer is part of the Lifetime Skills Guarantee announced in September 2020. It represents a long-term commitment to remove the age constraints and financial barriers for adults looking for their first level 3 qualification so that they can access training to enable them to progress.
You might be entitled to receive funding for your AAT Level 3 qualifications – contact your local training provider to find out more.
