AAT update on assessments and online resources during the Covid-19 outbreak

While all AAT assessments worldwide have been suspended since 22 March 2020, all marking, result releases and certification for assessments taken prior to this date are being completed to our published timescales. More information on result release dates, including the synoptic and non-synoptic result release calendars, can be found on our dedicated Results webpage.

As soon as the current government restrictions are lifted, we intend to make all of our assessments available as soon as possible. With the exception of two synoptic assessments (Level 3 and Level 4), all our assessments are available on-demand. Once the current restrictions on educational institutions are lifted, we’ll review our synoptic windows and will inform training providers of any changes or additional windows offered. These changes will be published on the Results webpage and will also be advertised via SummingUp and AAT Weekly - our training provider and student e-newsletters.

Aside from AAT assessments, we’re seeing increased interest in remote learning and online resources to support learning. We’ve increased our online offering to help AAT members and student members, including:

  • A new Coronavirus resource hub on AAT Comment.
  • A new area on the AAT discussion forums to help our licensed members share support on dealing with the outbreak.
  • Additional categories opened on AAT Knowledge Hub for AAT affiliates and AATQBs to help them develop skills.
  • Launching our new AAT Lifelong Learning Portal, the home for all our existing and newly published study support resources. The portal comes with added features to make planning and learning more interactive and personal.

Finally, there are currently no changes to the development and launch of AQ2021, our new accounting qualifications set to replace AQ2016 next year. We continually review the external environment and if there is any change to this position, we’ll inform all stakeholders as soon as possible. More information about the Covid-19 outbreak for AAT students, training providers, members and employers will be posted on our dedicated Covid-19 webpage, alongside social media updates and our regular e-newsletters.
