AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) has hosted its tenth Annual Conference, attracting some 300 AAT members to the De Vere Beaumont Estate in Windsor.

The conference, held on Thursday 7 and Friday 8 June, provided AAT members with learning, inspiration and expert insight from a number of speakers discussing what they and their clients need to know. Around 30 workshops and talks were held in total, with delegates also able to network with fellow members and meet exhibitors offering handy business solutions.

Among the speakers at the event were Oliver Fisher from HMRC, Steve Collings from Leavitt Walmsley Associates, and Michael Steed from the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT).

Keynote addresses were delivered by HMRC’s Penny Ciniewicz, strategist and consultant Steve Pipe, and a special panel session focusing on the future of accountancy, headed by former AAT President Brian Palmer.

Nicky Fisher, President, AAT said:

At AAT we have a mission statement of being bigger, better and bolder, and that’s certainly what our Annual Conference delivers. This is the tenth time that our members have been able to network and expand their professional knowledge at our Conference, and feedback is always overwhelmingly positive.

The Conference also included the second AAT Professional Members Awards, with seven winners announced at a gala dinner held on the evening of Thursday 7 June. Full results from the awards, which recognise individual and collective successes across AAT’s membership, can be found on our award announcement.
