Come back: reinstate with AAT

AAT's reinstatement policy

Former AAT members who've applied to reinstate their membership will be subject to AAT’s Reinstatement policy (PDF).

Student membership

If your student membership has lapsed and you'd like to restart your studies, go to your MyAAT dashboard to reinstate your membership.

The reinstatement fee is a one-off charge of £37.

Your one-off admission fee and annual membership fee must be paid by credit or debit card on application. Once you've reinstated your membership, you can set up a Direct Debit for future membership fee payments.

Affiliate membership

If your affiliate membership has lapsed and you’d like to rejoin AAT, you’ll need to download and complete the Affiliate reinstatement form (PDF).

The reinstatement fee is a one-off charge of £50.

Your one-off admission fee and annual membership fee must be paid by credit or debit card on application. Once you've reinstated your membership, you can set up a Direct Debit for future membership fee payments.

Bookkeeping membership (AATQB)

If you've previously been an AAT bookkeeping member, you'll need to reapply online to join us again.

You'll need to pay your annual membership fee on application, which is £120.

Your one-off admission fee and annual membership fee must be paid by credit or debit card on application. Once you've reinstated your membership, you can set up a Direct Debit for future membership fee payments.

Full (MAAT) and fellow (FMAAT) membership

If you've previously been an AAT full or fellow member, download the Full or fellow membership reinstatement form (PDF) to join us again. 

The reinstatement fee for both MAATs and FMAATs is a one-off charge of £50.

Your one-off admission fee and annual membership fee must be paid by credit or debit card on application. Once you've reinstated your membership, you can set up a Direct Debit for future membership fee payments.

AAT licensed membership

You can apply to reinstate your licence within 12 months of your renewal due date.

If you're applying to reinstate your licence more than four months after your renewal due date you'll also need to provide a summary of the CPD you have undertaken in the areas covered by your licence.

Fee

The fee, whether reinstating or applying for a new licence, is £50 for both Licensed Accountants and Licensed Bookkeepers.

Please note that we are unable to reinstate your licence until payment has been received and payment cannot be made by Direct Debit.

Refunds

The fee for registering or reinstating as a student member of AAT is non-refundable. The fee for applying or reinstating for full or fellow membership is also non-refundable. For more information see the AAT refund policy.
