Misconduct

Diana Koteva’s professional or personal conduct, was found to be in breach of the Code of Professional Ethics and to have posed a risk to the public or was likely to undermine public confidence in the Association or its members; namely:
1. On 08 July 2021, AAT received notification that Diana Koteva was advertising in the public domain and promoting herself as a Licensed AAT MAAT member whilst holding AAT Affiliate membership.
2. On 09 July 2021, AAT carried out a search in the public domain and found Diana Koteva stated she was a "Chartered Certified Accountant" with ACCA.

Finding

Grounds for disciplinary action existed and the matter was suitable for exercise of the Investigations team's powers under the Disciplinary Regulations.

Order

Diana Koteva is hereby:
i. Fined: Fine totalling £1500
ii. Expelled from AAT for 3 years

Consent

Diana Koteva has agreed to submit to the decision of the Investigations Team in accordance with Regulation 6 of the Disciplinary Regulations.
