  1. She provided self-employed accountancy or bookkeeping services to the public whilst not licensed to provide such services and was not subject to an exemption
  2. She provided self-employed accountancy services or bookkeeping services to the public without being registered with a supervisory authority within the meaning of The Money Laundering Regulations. 

Finding

By reason of the conduct set out in the Allegations above, Michelle Griffiths is guilty of misconduct pursuant to Article 21 of AAT’s Articles of Association.

Order

Michelle Griffiths is hereby:

  1. Reprimanded for a period of two years
  2. Fined £3,000
  3. Deemed ineligible to hold fellow member (FMAAT) status for a period of two years
  4. Warned about her future conduct.

Consent

The decision of the Investigations Team shall stand as an Order of the Association pursuant to Regulations 5.2 and 5.3 of the Disciplinary Regulations.
