From cakes to accounting

Ashleigh Moorcroft changed her career and her life by going back to college to study with AAT. She now runs her own part-time cake business and has a full-time accounting role.

“It was really strange going back to college as I hadn’t studied for quite some time. Luckily all the support from people at college and AAT made it much easier.

AAT has taught me a lot about myself; that I can meet my targets - it’s boosted my confidence.

There are so many tools online to help you, whether that’s writing your CV, finding a job, or study support.

The skills I’ve learnt so far are valuable skills that can be applied to any business - and they’ve definitely helped me to run my own cake business.”
